The human behind the lens.
The photographs that matter most were never the posed ones — they're the shoebox prints every family keeps: bad light, blurry corners, everyone mid-laugh. That's the standard. On a shoot day I show up early, stay calm, and give you direction when you want it, distance when you don't.
PictureThis is a new Indiana studio, and I won't pretend otherwise. What that buys you is real: an open calendar, my full attention, and founding-year rates I'll never offer again. Everyone is welcome here — every love story, every body, every family shape.
Questions? Answers.
“We're awkward in photos.”
You'll be great. I give you things to do, not ways to stand — within ten minutes you'll forget the camera has feelings about you. “Awkward” is one of the most common worries people bring to any photographer, and the least visible thing in good photographs.
When do we see them?
A sneak peek of 30+ edited photos within 48 hours. Full portrait galleries in 3 weeks, weddings in 6–8. These timelines go in your contract, not just on this page.
Can we print them?
Yes — every gallery comes with a print release: print anywhere, share anywhere, forever, at no extra cost. I keep the copyright (standard US practice), you keep the freedom.
What if it rains?
Indiana weather keeps its own counsel, so every shoot comes with a weather plan: covered backups scouted in advance, clear umbrellas in the kit, and the honest truth that storm skies photograph better than flat sunny ones. Portrait sessions reschedule free.
